There are times when I feel very nostalgic about all the old brands, TV shows and everything that used to be so special till the big bad world of market economix came in to India.
Don't misunderstand me .. I'm not a leftist. :P
Just that so many things that I saw around me during my childhood are no longer there. :(
The entire country used to swear by Mahabharat on sundays at 9.

I can remember quite a lot of brands too!
Like the Philips tube add... the bajaj add - jab mein chota ladka tha, badi shararat karta tha... there was campa cola, rola cola, percy and uncle chips...
there were showls like the Filmi Chakkar, Junglee Toofan Tyre Puncture, Born Lucky, flop show... ulta pulta... philips top ten... the Dinesh ad (with Sunil Gavaskar playing baseball)... man it was such an awesome time earlier.
There was also this Alice in Wonderland that would come... and Vikram aur betaal on sat afternoons at 3:00!
